  1. Good article on the C130. But when you mentioned who uses them you left out the USCG. They have transported, supplies and search and rescue. I have been in many different C130’s in the Coast Guard. They are great planes but very noisy.

Thank you, Michael, I’ve been in them a bunch as well, and they’re loud and uncomfortable 😐 I had someone else tell me that the USMC uses them, but when I looked into it further, it turned out that they operate the KC-130, and not the standard transport version (C-130J). I didn’t find any mention of the USCG flying the C-130Js, and instead, they fly the HC-130J, which is a Long-Range SAR aircraft. Could you have flown in those, or could the USCG have flown C-130Js in the past but don’t any longer?
